Beth's Table

Just got back from a wonderful trip for a surprise 25th Anniversary party for a friend.
Here's the table our host, Beth, set for us the first night.
The color scheme for the whole event was pink and silver, and Beth certainly delivered!

I love the shape of Beth's table. Because of the rounded/scalloped corners, she can set more people. I would LOVE this table.

Here's her matching hutch.

Thrift store? YES! Everything on this table  was found at a thrift store! (Except her beautiful centerpiece. It was real.

Love the silver glasses and the 25th Anniversary teapot.

Very cute idea from Pinterest. These were made from sheet music.

Sorry for the terrible pic, but this was another fun idea. You can paste pictures of the honorees on paper dolls.

Beth spoiled us with her wonderful menu of salad and roast beef.

I'm joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Susan's and

My Old Scrapbook

Hello, Bloggy friends. When I was about 19, I started a scrapbook. Going through it today, I found some amusing/interesting things I wanted to share with you.

HERE'S MY SCRAPBOOK. IT'S IN PRETTY BAD SHAPE, BUT HOLDS LOT OF MEMORIES.
I KEPT IT FROM THE LATE 60'S TO THE MID 1980'S

ONE OF MY PRIZED POSSESSIONS.

HIS REAL AUTOGRAPH. I WAS A BIG FAN BACK THEN.

DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER THE WINCHESTER MAN OF THE TV COMMERCIALS?

WELL I GOT TO MEET HIM AND HAVE MY PICTURE TAKEN WITH HIM. A BIG THRILL FOR ME BACK THEN. HEHEHEHE

AT THE FAIR IN THE 60'S,
I GOT THIS CARD FROM A PENNY ARCADE MACHINE. I LOVED IT EVEN THOUGH IT HAD 1920'S PICTURES.  MY FUTURE HUSBAND WOULD BE A PRINCE! AND I WOULD HAVE ONE LITTLE PRINCE.

WHEN I WAS 19, I SAVED THIS PICTURE OUT OF A MAGAZINE.   THIS WAS WHAT I WANTED MY FUTURE HUSBAND TO REALLY LOOK LIKE. :)

HOWEVER, THIS WAS REALLY MY FUTURE HUSBAND, ALTHOUGH I DIDN'T KNOW IT AT THE TIME. I HAD GRADUATED WITH STEVE, BUT I HAD NEVER ACTUALLY MET HIM. I'D SEE HIM IN THE HALL ALL THE TIME AND MY GIRLFRIENDS WOULD TEASE ME ABOUT HIM BECAUSE THEY KNEW I LIKED HIM.   ONE DAY, I SAW HIS PICTURE IN THE PAPER AND I CUT IT OUT AND PUT IT IN MY SCRAPBOOK. THIS WAS SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE I ACTUALLY MET HIM.

WELL HERE WE ARE PROBABLY AROUND 1982. HOW FAST TIME FLIES. BUT I DO THINK I DID PRETTY GOOD AS FAR AS FULFILLING MY "FUTURE HUSBAND" DREAMS.

Thanks for stopping by to see me today. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Lovely Pinks

Hello, and welcome to my post for "Pink Saturday" at "How Sweet The Sound"

Here's a cute Pink shop in downtown Madison, IN. (Can't remember name. Sorry)

Lots of shabby chic pink sweetness.

These shots were taken around Christmas as you can probably tell.

Loved this shop, and she was nice to let me take pictures.

I set a Pink table on my kitchen table for Valentines Day.

Nothing fancy. Just mostly stuff I already had.

I embellished the glasses somewhat. (An idea I saw on the net somewhere)

Thank You for Stopping By. I really enjoy your visits!

Valentines at Sunnyside

Hello, Bloggy friends. Love is in the air as it's getting close to Valentines Day.

So here's my table for the occasion this year in the Dining Room.

I'm using things I've had and also some new Thrifty finds.  These fabric flowers from Cracker Barrel have been really handy for Valentines Day.
I found these little dove accents at Jo Ann's and thought they matched my turtledove pair.

I was excited to finally find some red goblets. I paid $22 for four of them. That's a good price, right?

My "wonderful" artwork on the chalk board.   hehehehe

I love the glow of candles.

Please stop by "Between Naps on the Porch" for Susan's great "Tablescape Thursday" Thanks, Susan!

Brrr! Yikes! and Rednesday

Hello, Bloggy friends.  This is how I've been walking around my house because my furnace went out.   (although I'm not as cute as that darling kitty  :)
They put the new furnace in today, but the FAN won't stop blowing. The man is supposed to be on his way to fix it.
Meanwhile, I'm seeing DOLLAR SIGNS flying out the window! I have the unit completely turned off and it's still running.

I HOPE YOUR WORLD IS RUNNING BETTER THAN MINE TODAY.

For Rednesday, I'm showing you my "RED" bedroom.

My sister gave me this deacon's bench which is perfect for this space.  I love it.

Please join Sue for "Rednesday" at It's a Very Cherry World for more reds.

A Vintage Table

Hello, Bloggy friends.  Today, I found a beautiful vintage tablecloth that I (didn't need but) just had to have.

It was only $5, and in perfect shape.....no stains, tears, and freshly laundered and ironed.

It fit the table in the sunroom perfectly, so I just set a few things that I already had on it.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and please join Susan's "Tablescape Thursday" for more tables.
