Apple Picking Time

It's Tablescape Thursday over at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch. Hooray!

Hello, Bloggy Friends. So, most of you are in the mood for Fall, eh? Well, for me, before it's "pumpkin" time, it's "apple picking" time. So, I have set a very simple apple table in my kitchen today.

One of my favorite places to go when I go to the Smokies, is to the "Apple Barn" at Pigeon Forge.
That's where I found these little apple plates, and the apple runner (pssssst......it's not really a runner, it's actually two napkins pieced together. If you look close, you can see where they meet)

I used my rooster plates under the apple plates, because I liked the way it looked. hehehehehe

My old, red coffee pot (a recent find) looks right at home on this table setting.

Look at those nice, juicy, red apples! hehehehehehe (Don't look too close at the nicks in the wood)

Here's one of my other favorite "apple" places to go. The Apple Farm at San Luis Obispo, CA. It's like the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge, only much prettier! (sorry for the small pic)

It's also an inn. SOOOOO country cozy. This is the lobby.

They have a wonderful gift shop!

I got to go in the Fall several years ago, and it was decorated so pretty!

This was a Fall display in the gift shop. I loved this red hutch! I wish I could go back. sigh!

Here's me posing on the pumpkin display. Gee my hair was long and BIG :)

Thanks for stopping by. You are always welcome at Sunny Side! And thanks for all the sweet comments you give. You girls are such a wonderful group. I'm so glad I found you!

Hi! Love your cheery red table. I've been to The Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge, I only live about an hour and half away. It's a great place to have a family style meal.

If God looked kindly on coveting, I would covet your red/white check rooster charger plates. They are wonderful, and I can imagine them used in so many different tablescapes. Your table is darling. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay

What a great, cheerful table! Your collection of red and white pieces is wonderful, and I love the way you put them together! Just the right amount of things so we can really see the uniqueness of each piece, but all pulled together with your brilliant napkin runner! I love it!

What a charming table! I especially love the red gingham with the scalloped apple plates. So cheery! My husband's family had an extended family portrait made at a pretty area by a stream across from the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge. I regret now that we didn't go in the Apple Barn to explore. We'll have to make a return trip! Thanks for sharing!

Hi D, Thank you so much for stopping by, love your post. These dishes and tablescape are adorable! I also loved your dollhouse on previous post. I had two that got broke when we moved here. Building a new one now, don't know if I'll ever get it done.
