Sunroom Decorated for Spring

Hello, Bloggy Friends. I'm joining "Met Monday" at Susan's "Between Naps on the Porch"

Here's my sunroom decorated for Valentines Day. I needed to change it to Spring.

Ta Dah!
Having slipcovers helps me to change the colors and look easily.

I wanted to go with softer pastels of pink, blues and greens for Spring.

I added some Spring accessories here and there.

My forsythia is blooming in the back yard.

I had to get rid of the red in my table.

So I put a tablecloth over it.

I love this little sheer tablecloth. It was a recent "antiquing" find.

Quite a difference a few things can make.

My faux fireplace.

Not much you can do to make a HD TV look shabby chic. :)

Thanks for stopping by The Sunny Side today!

Watermelon Time

Hello, Wonderful Bloggy friends. Time again to set our tables with Susan.
I'm using a watermelon theme for today.

This cute, tablerunner was my inspiration. I got it last summer at either TJ Maxx or Big Lots.

Simple centerpiece of red flowers in white vase. Aren't those watermelon candles cute? They came from The Apple Farm in the Smokies.

Of course, Julia and Dudley Target wanted to be in on this table, because you know how birds love watermelon rhines. :)

Cute spreader knife was in with the watermelon candles. The red striped bowl, a recent Ebay find.

I had this watermelon plate, and it seemed to fit right in with this tablescape. I think it was a complete set of dishes you could get at Walmart a few years ago.

Gollum Plates (They sure are versatile. I love them!) from Big Lots

Red Flatware: BB&B

Paper Napkins

Goblets: Hazel Atlas - Vintage

I had planned to set this table outside on the patio, but it's been raining sporatically for the past few days, so I had to set it in the sunroom.

I wanted to set it by my new watermelon birdfeeder. Recent find at Joann's Fabrics.

And I was going to use my watermelon outdoor cover, too.

Sometimes, weather just doesn't cooperate. Thanks for joining me, and please check out Susan's Between Naps on the Porch for other great tablescaping ideas.

Red, White & Blue Sunroom

Hello, Bloggy Friends. Today I wanted to show you my sunroom all decked out for the 4th.
The room is still a work in progress, but it's coming along pretty good now. Curtains coming soon.

Hey, this is my 100th post. :)!

The couch and chairs are from Ikea. I have red and white slipcovers for them and also some black and white ones. It's fun to change out the colors. The table I ordered recently from JC Penney.

I brought in my blue and white patio cushions from the outside and put them on the chairs. I'm still loving my red bird cage, and my poor plants could sure use some help. :)

This table is only here temporarily. I'm working on another table to replace it.

The table is dressed in red, white and blue also. I'll be showing it this week. :)

Today, I'm joining Cielo's beautiful blog for " Show Off Your Cottage Monday"

And also Marty's for "Tabletop Tuesday".
Thanks for joining me today. I do appreciate your time.

Capturing the Sunlight

Hello, friends. Today, I want to share pictures where I've captured the wonderful sunlight.
When I was looking for a new house, one of the things I HAD to have was bright and sunny.
Sunshine just makes me happy. Here's a picture of the morning light in my master bedroom.

Morning sunlight is some of the best, I think.

It has a much softer glow than the later, afternoon sunshine.

I like to capture the sunlight on my dining room table.

Here's the noonday sun on my purple pansies.

My other pansies.

Sunshine on my bluebird house (which has not suceeded in attracting any residents)

This cute, little wagon planter is in my sunroom.

More morning sun. I have South, East and Western exposure here.

Another shot of the sunroom. (I have big plans for this room)

Ah! My favorite. Sunshine on pretty little girls' hair. :)
(Peyton and Jamie enjoying the sunshine)

Thanks for stopping by to visit me!

My Sister's Sunroom

Here are pictures of my sister's sunroom. I just love the way she's got it decorated.

It used to be her patio. Now she has a nice, sunny room!

Lots of plants (as it should be in a sunroom :)

I LOVE this little troll. I want one! And the fountain is really soothing.

I hope you enjoyed the tour. I am in the process of tweaking my sunroom, and I hope to have pics up soon. Thanks for stopping by!!!! :)
