They have remade "Poldark", but to me there will only be one Ross Poldark-----Robin Ellis

I am excited about watching the new one, however.
If you missed  the original, it aired on Masterpiece Theatre in the 70's.  One of there most popular shows.  It's available on CD now.

Christmas Dining Room

I, too, am using those cute, little dishes from Walmart. I just love them.

I was excited to find these red lamp shades at Linen Source for my Christmas Table.

I had a hard time getting this table just right. At first I was using a this tablecloth.

Then I switched to this more colorful one, but didn't like the napkin set up I was using.

So which to use.............Red Napkin or........................

Green Napkin

Vintage Cabinet

I saw this cute, vintage cabinet at an antique store, and I wanted it so bad.

It's old, and very heavy, made of metal.

I had the perfect place for it in my bathroom.

But then I saw the price..................YIKES!  

So I had to pass on it.

My New Couch

Hello! I have started my Fall decorating, and I have a new couch and loveseat.

Here they are.  I was worried, because I had to order the sofa and fabric sight unseen.

Whew! The "crew" has approved. And I like it, too. Loved the white couch, but I was tired of washing slip covers. :)

I was also relieved that it is going to be OK with the seasonal decorating.

Here's the LR so far.

I found this picture last year and liked it for "fall" I wanted to keep the mantle simple this year.

Curtains in the Sunroom

Hello, I've been busy in the sun room.  I finally got my curtain rods hung after almost two years!

Here's how the sunroom looked when it was first added to the house. Pretty bare.

Then I added some furniture and sheer curtains at the windows.

 So here's the BEFORE ........ sun room decorated for Halloween 2011

and here's the AFTER.  I think it makes the room much more cozy.

AFTER............I got the curtains at Walmart, and they were a great price. (Curtains are expensive! Especially if you have to buy SIX panels!

Here's a night view.  I plan to maybe put shades or blinds in here to cut the glare during the day. And also switch out the curtains for different looks.
