"Clueless" Birthday

Hello, Bloggy Friends! I just celebrated my birthday two days after Christmas.
I told my kids what I wanted for my birthday.......I wanted to play Clue.
Clue has always been one of my favorite games, but I never get to play it because you need more than two players. They all agreed. So I finally got to play.

My favorite character has always been Miss Scarlet.

Over the years, Miss Scarlet has taken on several different faces.

Vampy. :)

Leslie Ann Warren played her in the movie.

Never liked this one.

This must be the most recent Miss Scarlet. But..........................

The "forties" Miss Scarlet has always been my favorite.

I was able to find my favorite version of the game on Ebay. Hooray!

Guess who won the game. That's right.....................ME! :)

It was done in the Dining Room

with the rope. By............................

Mrs. Peacock! (which means "I" did it because I was Mrs. Peacock. Granddaughter wanted to be Miss Scarlet) :)
................ see? Thank you for stopping by. I loved having you!

Belated Happy Birthday, D! Your granddaughter is such a cutie. I am in FL right now and it is cold here too. And believe it or now, I wish I'd stay home more, I miss our house....Christine

D, your granddaughter is so precious all dressed up for a tea party.

We spent many an hour playing Clue when I was little, and you're right -- the original versions of the characters were much better.

I'm glad you found one of the old ones and got to play it on your birthday.

Glad you had a wonderful Birthday. How nice you were able to make your Birthday wish come true. Clue has always been one of my favorite games as well. I received Clue for Christmas back in the 50's. Of course I love to read who done it's as well. Thanks for stopping by to visit. Hope a fun day.

Happy Belated Birthday! What a sweet present. . .to have your family play Clue with you! I honestly do not think I have ever played that game....I don't believe our kids had it when they were growing up. Your Grand Girl is absolutely adorable!

I so enjoyed reading many of your recent posts..and seeing all of your lovely holiday decor! Yes, I make a huge mess, too, when I wrap our gifts! It's just part of the creative process.

Hope you are having a great weekend! Dana

I loved Barbies Dream Date of all things...I never wanted Ken the prom guy, I always went for the guy that worked for the garbage dump. Why, I ask myself now? Happy Birthday, I have my 51st coming next week. January is a dandy time to be born!
Happy Birthday! I'm having a doggie party today on blog!

Happy Belated Birthday!
I love your present and I agree, I love Miss Scarlett best too and I love the 40's version of her!
Your family was great to play along, and I can't think of a nicer way to spend a special day!

LOVE the photo of your granddaughter in hat and gloves!
And, oh, how I wish women still wore things like that!
All the best,
Eileen

Happy Belated Birthday to you, D! And thank you for my birthday wishes, too.
I always enjoyed having a birthday AFTER Christmas, since we were allowed to request 2 gifts. I usually got one for Christmas & was pretty sure I would get the other one for my birthday. ;)
I'm glad you got to play on your special day!

Hi "D" sweetie...
Clue oh my gosh I haven't played that forever. How fun. Wish we lived closer cuz we would be playing every night. I am going to have to look at the thrift store and see if I can find a Clue game. I bet the kids would love to play again. We haven't played in such a long time. With the grandkids getting older they might even enjoy playing. Out oldest is 14, and we have 2- 12 year olds too that might like to play, even the 10 year old might want to play. Guess where DH and I are going to be stopping this weekend? Thank you for sharing as always, I love it when you do.

I pray you had a beautiful birthday, and lots of fun with the kiddos. Have a gorgeous weekend sweetie. Country hugs...Sherry

hi D, thanks for coming over...how did you find me? I'm so glad you popped in. I've been looking at your beautiful home and Xmas decorations...but first I LOVED CLUE also! I was telling my hubby and kids that this year. I bought my son Colt who is now 17 Monopoly (which was not my fave), we had many hours of fun though.
So Happy Belated Birthday. You should send your mirror pick to Shelia from Note Songs. She has Bathroom Diva's, you'd fit right in for sure.
Miss Scarlet looks divine in her hat and gloves.
Lovely blog.
Love Claudie
