I'm So Proud!

I have my first ROSE! I planted this tree last year, and I don't profess to have a green thumb. I was worried.

I looked out my back door today, and this rose is the first thing I saw.

It looked like he was poking his head around the corner as if to say "Here I am!" It made me smile.

and look! I have more buds. Yeah! I guess I did OK

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY, AND I HOPE YOU FIND SOMETHING IN YOUR DAY TO MAKE YOU SMILE, TOO!

Pink Fun at Red Hats

We recently had a luncheon at "Merrehope", an antebellum home in Meridian. I think the ladies did an excellent job with the decorations.

I loved this little umbrella on the door.

Each person got a packet of seeds and a brochure about the house.

"April Showers Bring May Flowers" was the theme.

The beginnings of our table settings. Each table had a watering can of flowers for the centerpiece.

So much wonderful "PINK" food to eat!

Chicken Salad Sandwiches

Brownies

Oh Yeah! Chocolate covered strawberries!

Strawberry Cake

A good, fun time was had by all.

I'm joining "Pink Saturday" at "How Sweet The Sound"

Thanks, Beverly!

Cute, Quick Scarf Idea

Here's a cute way to make a vest out of a scarf.

Take your oblong scarf  and fold it in half like this.

Take the top left and top right corners and tie them together.

       Like this.

Then you will have this. Those are the arm holes.

I used a longer scarf here. I think you could even use this for a swim suit coverup.

Some of you girls probably already knew this trick, but I just discovered it today at "Cracker Barrel"
That is where the blue scarf and white top came from. Cracker Barrel has cute clothes!

Adding Color to the Patio

Hi! My patio was in bad need of some sprucing up for Spring, so when I saw these cushions at Walmart, I grabbed them.

I've had this good ole swing for over 30 years, and I love it too much to get a new one. I could never find the right size cushions for it, so this year, I discovered that I could get two chair cushions and use them.  They are also reversible.

The swing needs painting badly. I got this idea to add greenery to the top, from a local flower shop.

I also got the umbrella to match. My red one was so faded, I couldn't stand it. Hope this one doesn't fade. Anybody know of how to keep it from fading?

I also added some more touches of color around.

Birdhouse from Lowes

So thanks for stopping by to see me today. This is the rear of the house. To the right is the sunroom I added when I moved here.

Here's what it used to look like before I added the patio.
Ah! Much Better!!!
I'm joining Susan for "Met Monday" Thanks, Susan.

Spring Tablescape

Today, I'm joining in on all the Spring decorating that's going on at Tablescape Thursday.

Dining Room in Yellow and Green

I'm using my Daisy dishes for this table.  Napkin rings were found at JoAnn's

This bunny centerpiece was my inspiration (Found while thrift shopping)

Some of my Green bunny pieces  fit right in, too.

I first saw these dishes at Susan's and loved them. There are so pretty for Spring.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY TODAY, I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT. GOING OVER TO SUSAN'S NOW TO SEE ALL THE PRETTY TABLES.

They were all done in pink and silver. I think they all turned out so pretty.

Here's the cake. This "ruffle" cake is supposed to be the latest thing for weddings, etc.  It had three
different layers of deliciousness.

The decorations were beautiful, too.
