Beach Day

JOY! It's Tablescape Day over at Between Naps on the Porch hosted by Susan! We just came back from Gulf Shores, and the plan was to set up my tablescape there, since I'm having a "Beach Day" theme. Here's my little helper (granddaughter) at the table we were trying to use. However, dumb me left some of stuff at home, so I had to nix that idea and do it at the house.

So here it is. (Just ignore that old wheel barrow and grass out there, and pretend it's beautiful, white sand. :)

This placemat was my inspiration for this tablescape. I just loved the turquoise color, and since it had a sun on it, it seemed perfect for me. The placemats, charger and yellow bowl are from Big Lots. The clear plate(which is hard to see, and the glass cozy are from Dollar Tree.

For a napkin ring, I simply used two ponytail bands twisted together. (It IS the beach, right? :)

I just LOVE my big candle holder from Penney's! It was the perfect color, and it was 25% off.

The two other candle holders are from that good ole Dollar Tree.

I found this cute little beach bag several years ago, and thought it matched really good. See the cute little hand painted jelly fish zipper ornament?

We are having Island Mango and Peach Flavor ice tea (cute umbrellas - Big Lots)

If you haven't tried it, I recommend it. It's delicious. I use half regular and half the mango/peach tea.

BEV! (Bird's Eye View)

Thanks for joining me. I loved havin' you!!!

First, your "presenter" is adorable. Second, you are excused for not packing tablescaping items for a vacation, and third, the end result was worth the wait! The placemats are darling!

Beautiful, cheerful colors! I love the wheelbarrow! And I like your crepe myrtle too! They're too beautiful to ever be ugly, but if you really want to see an ugly one, you've got to see mine! Very pretty table!!!
