Right now, they are at the age of "wanting to spend the night with Grandmother", so I try to keep them entertained. :)
One of the things they love to play with is my 1940's (Repro) Fashion Paperdoll.
She lives in this vintage doll case I found on Ebay (ya'll know I love Ebay)
Who wouldn't love to have a vanity table like this? So 40's!
She has so many outfits with hats and shoes to go with each. 40's Fashions were SO pretty to me!
One of my favorite outfits.
Evening Out.
Time for bed.
She can even change her hair color and style.
I also wanted to show you my REAL vintage paper dolls. They are in wonderful shape to be so old.
Some little girl took very good care of them. She even wrote their names of the back of them.
Peyton and Jamie are NOT allowed to play with these because they are so fragile.
I also have the Lucy doll from Franklin Mint. She has been discontinued now, but you can still find her on the net.
She even came with her Vitametavegamin bottle and spoon. Some of those accessories belong to the Audrey Hepburn doll from "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
I gave Peyton the "Vintage" repro Barbie for Christmas, and she loves it and her vintage style clothes better than her modern Barbie. (YAY!)
A while back, I did a post about the 60's pink negligee I found .
Peyton LOVED it and couldn't wait to try it on. Here's her "dramatic" pose. :)
Here's Jamie with her "I Love Lucy" PJ's
The other night, we tried to do a 40's hairdo, which didn't turn out so good. (Under statement :-O)
We were going for the Betty Grable look.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY AND SHARING MY LOVE OF VINTAGE.
I'm joining Suzanne's "Vintage Thingy Thursday"and
Debra's " Vintage Inspiration Party "
Join them for more fun.

Those paper dolls are absolutley wonderful. My 25 YO DD and I both would like to play with those!!
My oldest DD has loved antiques and vintage things since she was young. I will have to share your blog with her. She will enjoy it.
Oh you gals are having so much fun !! I can't wait to be a Grandma, someday! I'm so excited to hear that they love playing with paperdolls!! I hope this is a hobby that they will enjoy for a long time to come. I loved playing with paperdolls when I was a girl, and still collect them to this day. Your vintage ones are really in great shape.
Wow! I wanna come visit--and play! It's so wonderful that your grandchildren are interested in vintage things! These are times they'll always remember.
Peyton and Jamie are adorable and have a wonderful grandma! It would be so fun to spend the night at your house with all your goodies! I say you like Ebay...here is my new addiction. You bid like Ebay too. The shipping can be high, but sometimes the GW is close by and it's cheap.

Great paper dolls!
Oh my goodness what a hoot those hairstyles are in the little ones! I love the repro paper doll. She seems to capture a mixture of yesteryear and the present together. I should pull out my old dolls to see what I have going here still. Wonder if I even still have them. Have a blessed weekend.
What fun you've had and I love the beautiful hair do's! The paper dolls are marvelous and so are the pretty dolls and their cute outfits! I LOVE dolls...I have a doll room full of them! Hugs!
What a wonderful vintage paper doll collection. Love it. I remember them, but never had any. I had to cut mine out of Sear book.
What fun you had!
The paperdolls are wonderful. I think it's so great that your grands are loving vintage from you. I'm sure you all have a fun time together. They are so cute!
Oh, my goodness! I love your beautiful paper dolls and you've taken such great care of them. I too, loved paper dolls when I was little and would even cut some out of the Sears and Penny's catalogs! Your grand daughters are so cute and I'm sure they lovely playing and the cute hair!
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh did I enjoy this little visit?
It brought back so many memories of my childhood. I had those dress up dolls and spent hours dressing them.
You have such a beautiful collection.
Everything is wonderful
You have two very pretty granddaughters too,the hairstyle turned out so like Betty Grables. It was a really feminine era, love it.
Thank you for your visit and nice comments. I am now following you. xx
I LOVE paperdolls. Why don't girls play with them anymore? I love your beautiful blog. Thanks for such sweet comment on my dishtowels.
I often wondered how the women of that period got those hairstyles without spending all day doing them. I don't see how the "Rats" used to get the shape could be comfortable either.
I never had grandaughers or daughters for that matter, I feel like I missed out on a lot of fun.I have got a huge box of old paperdolls of every kind, I need to dig them out and do something with them, since the boys won't be using them! LOL!
