Fun "Achievement Day"

I recently visited my friend, who is preisident of her "Homemakers" club, and I was able to go to their "Achievement Day" The theme was hats. That cute little pin cushion "hat" was a door prize I got to take home.

The colors were purple and YELLOW, and all the ladies wore hats.

Aren't hats fun? I wish we still wore them.

My friend wore several different(CRAZY) hats and kept us laughing all day.

There was a contest for "Best Centerpiece"

Each club had their own table.

Here was ours, which didn't win.

WHAT? Fred Astaire! Top Hat! How original is that????? hehehehe

A lady gave a talk about hats and how they have changed through the years.

Very interesting. She even let us try on the hats.

My favorite was this BLUE bonnet.

She also showed us some other pretty things we ladies used to wear.

I even got to be in the group picture.

THANKS FOR VISITING ME TODAY!

Good Morning D Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share this morning. I too love that blue bonnet the best. Yes, you know I love hats, and they are so much fun to wear. I wish more people wore them. Living out here in the desert, I spend a LOT of time outdoors doing yardwork, and am never without a hat.

Looks like you all had a great time. Love your groups Fred Estaire centerpiece, it was both original and darling.

Thanks for sharing sweet one. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

That is a great hat post. I loved seeing all the ladies in their different hats and colors. We still have one or two in our church that still wear them. I have never been hat person.

Hi D, this looks like such a fun event! i love hats too and wish we wore them. When I was a little girl we always got an Easter bonnet. I wonder what a Homemaker's Club does? It sounds intriguing! Maybe we should have more of those clubs! Linda
