Let's Pretend

I've always dreamed of going on a ski vacation to some beautiful, snowy resort lodge. So today,
I've packed my bags and skis for a "pretend" trip! Come along with me, bloggy friends!!

Ah! Here's our lodge. Isn't it beautiful! I hope I get that upper room on the left with the dormer window! Love those RED trimmed windows!

We have just checked in this morning, and now it's time for a yummy breakfast. Let's get that table over there, OK?

I'm having blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup and steaming hot coffee! What will you have?

What a great view we have from this table by the window! Oh, look! There's a reindeer out there. :)

Dinnerware was a gift from friend, Gloria for Christmas. I love it so much. It came from Kohl's.

It's made by St. Nicholas square "Snow Valley"

The plate in the background is also by them....." Heartland"

Well, lots of snow out there. Let's hit the slopes!!!

Later, we can sit by the blazing, crackling fireplace, kick our feet up, and......

have some hot, Alpine cider. A perfect ending for a perfect "pretend" day. :)

I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for her fun "Tablescape Thursday"
and
Sue at It's A Very Cherry World for "Rednesday"
Thanks for joining me today!

I'm all for a pretend trip.

Your friend gave you some wonderful dishes. I love how the rim looks like bark from a tree. I also love that red coffee pot in the back. I'd like one of those myself.

Very pretty! Glad you invited us to pretend along with you.

What fun! I had a great time. Of course, while you were skiing, I was by the fire drinking Irish Coffees. I prefer to LOOK at the snow rather than ski on it.
You did a great write-up. Clever. And the perspective of camera matching what you would be seeing - very cool!
Enjoyed your new dishes. They certainly do make you think of a lodge.

This table setting would almost make skiing bearable! Hubby loves it and is out there right now. I'm happily reading blogs. Give me the sun and sand any day! I do like the dishes, though! :) Linda
