Watermelon Time

Hello, Wonderful Bloggy friends. Time again to set our tables with Susan.
I'm using a watermelon theme for today.

This cute, tablerunner was my inspiration. I got it last summer at either TJ Maxx or Big Lots.

Simple centerpiece of red flowers in white vase. Aren't those watermelon candles cute? They came from The Apple Farm in the Smokies.

Of course, Julia and Dudley Target wanted to be in on this table, because you know how birds love watermelon rhines. :)

Cute spreader knife was in with the watermelon candles. The red striped bowl, a recent Ebay find.

I had this watermelon plate, and it seemed to fit right in with this tablescape. I think it was a complete set of dishes you could get at Walmart a few years ago.

Gollum Plates (They sure are versatile. I love them!) from Big Lots

Red Flatware: BB&B

Paper Napkins

Goblets: Hazel Atlas - Vintage

I had planned to set this table outside on the patio, but it's been raining sporatically for the past few days, so I had to set it in the sunroom.

I wanted to set it by my new watermelon birdfeeder. Recent find at Joann's Fabrics.

And I was going to use my watermelon outdoor cover, too.

Sometimes, weather just doesn't cooperate. Thanks for joining me, and please check out Susan's Between Naps on the Porch for other great tablescaping ideas.

This is just a charming tablescape. I love the runner that was the inspiration. I could practically taste all the watermelons. The candles are just adorable but I have to say my favorite thing was the watermelon advertisement plate. What a fun plate, and from Wal Mart? Cute.

Watermelon means summer to me, too! That watermelon table runner is one of the cutest things that I've seen in a long time. The green goblets were the perfect amendment. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay

I love your table by the window and your post about planning to do your table outdoors reminds me of what I had planned this week too. Fun watermelon themed bird bath and food cover!

D, Where did my first comment go? I just wrote you a long note and it disappeared! I'll try again. I love your happy table. Yesterday I was in my local linen shop and they had a watermelon runner on sale which I carried around for awhile before putting it back without purchasing it. Now I am going back, and if they still have it I will do a table soon, inspired by you! Linda

What a fun table! It just says happy! I have a friend who when I admired her "watermelon 2 miles ahead" plate just gave it to me. It was such a spontaneous, laughing gesture and I love it.

Hi Di,

Your table is adorable -so colorful and filled with summer memories. Goodness gracious - we both love the same colors - I have the same polka dot pitcher, red check table cloth and red umbrella. I also see a peek of blue and white also.
Hve a fun week.
Blessings,
Erin

What a cheery little setting! I love it. I think I have those same glasses. I blogged about them quite a while ago for a Vintage Thingie Thursday. I was told that they held cottage cheese? Do you know if that is true? I always enjoy your fun tablescapes!
