Sights and Smells of Autumn

I'm joining Melissa at The Inspired Room for the 2009 Nesting Party. There are so many pretty fall things to see there.

These are some of the things I love about Fall.

Lots of yards, porches (and blogs) get decorated with the wonderful colors of Fall.

Fall makes me want to start walking again or going for hikes in the woods.

The night sky in the fall is so crisp and bright!

Add ImageI love the smell of burning leaves.

and the smell of a fire going. Especially if they are burning hickory logs. :)

Time for bon fires and roasting marshmallows and hot dogs.

Oh joy! The muscadines are ripe!

The freshly cut hay bales are so pretty and smell so good.

Soon the pumpkins will be getting ripe. The mums are already here.

Time for yummy, baked sweet potatoes and turnip greens.

The apples are ripe. Time for baked apples, apple pies and........

Hot apple cider.

Wouldn't you just love to try all your yummy fall recipes in the warm and cozy kitchen?
.

This art is from a 2001 calendar I had, and I love every page of it.

Nothing says "Fall" to me like the smell of fresh apples. I want to tell you about this fragrant room spray that I just love. It smells so good............exactly like fresh cut apples! It says "Cinnamon" Cider, but I don't smell cinnamon at all. Here's the site where you can get some if you are interested.

Thanks for stopping by. I loved having you!

Cinammon cider would get me in the fall spirit as is the fall nesting party, really interesting to see all the different ways people celebrate the season at their place. I added a maple flavor twist to my posts.

Hi, so glad you stopped by, the pictures on the post that you asked about... Santa and the rabbit, I cropped them and then I uploaded them and sized them like Susan said to do.... I think they turned at real nice, I have never cropped pictures before I loaded them on blogger, But I like the way they turned out so I know I will use crop again... Hope this helps.
