Crepe Myrtle Tablescape

Hooray! It Tablescape Thursday again over at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch.

Rush over there to see all the goodies.

Today, the table is set in the dining room.
I used my white Walmart dishes, white napkins and my new green napkin rings.

For the tablecloth, I actually used a curtain panel from the Shabby Chic collection at Target. It was the perfect size!

For the centerpiece, I turned a cake stand upside down and put some crepe myrtle blooms in the top. The bottom forms a little area that holds water for the blooms. (Don't look at the "stray" blossoms on the table. :)

I love these vintage Hazel Atlas glasses. These are some of my mom's stuff. I only had three, but was lucky enough to find one on Ebay. (I love Ebay.)

I added some pink touches to the hutch to match the tablescape. I think I've decided to leave it green instead of painting it red.

Bird's Eye View.

Thanks for stopping by. I loved havin' you! :)

D, this is as fresh and pretty as can be! I love crepe myrtle blooms, and that really strikes the right note with your table. Love all of your other touches, too, and those goblets! Yes, I love eBay, and what would we do without them when we're tyring to replace something we love! Glad you found one more! :-)

Your hutch is SO cute, and so is your tablecloth (I wouldn't have known it was a curtain panel)... and your pretty white dishes and colorful green glasses. Love that sweet church, too! Great job!

Happy Tablescape Thursday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Oh, such a pretty, pretty table! And I love the idea of using the shabby curtain panel for the table, and I love the stray petals!
And your hutch! It's the absolute PERFECT shade of green! I wouldn't let a paint brush anywhere near it!
Lovely!

I don't know why, but I've never thought of using crepe myrtles as cutting flowers and I have one the same color right outside my front door! Thanks for the inspiration.

I think the stray blooms look festive! I'm glad you're leaving the hutch green --- it looks great! Using the curtain as a tablecloth is very clever ... repurposing is so much more interesting that using things as the makers intended. It's wonderful that you're using your mom's glasses -- glad you were able to find a mate for them on eBay!

Bye for now ...

I love your pretty pink and green tablescape! I have the same atlas goblets - found 12 of them in two listings on ebay, and also have a dark pink crepe myrtle that I use for a centerpiece, so you know I'm loving your table! Did you know the Atlas goblets also come in pink? Yep, pink, but let's not fight over them! Your tablecloth fabric looks familiar - is it Shabby Chic? The setting is just beautiful. Looking forward to seeing what you have next week!

Hi D...love this tablescape! And I think those stray crepe myrtles blossoms are just perfect! Great idea on the tablecloth...and I'm loving your darling hutch. Yea...leave it green...very pretty! But then I'm partial to green hutches. :-)

The crepe myrtle is so lovely -- and the fallen blossoms add atmosphere! Nothing is as lovely as a little bit of imperfection amid the prettiness. (In my case, it's usually DUST.)

LOVE the green cabinet .. it's a great look, and looks so good with the contents.
