The Little Red House

004Today is Rednesday at Sue’s “It’s A Very Cherry World” I wanted to show this red house.

006

Do you think this person loves red? Red roof, red shutters, red porch swing, red sign, even a red boat.

005

There's also a small wishing well with the same red roof.

I think this house is cute. :) Definitely a "Rednesday" person lives here.

Here's my new red camera. (taken in mirror, so it’s backwards) I didn't plan on getting red, but this model had been discontinued and the "only color they had left was red" Lucky me. :)

Happy Rednesday!

P.S.  This is my first post using Live Writer, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Sunroom Decorated for Spring

Hello, Bloggy Friends. I'm joining "Met Monday" at Susan's "Between Naps on the Porch"

Here's my sunroom decorated for Valentines Day. I needed to change it to Spring.

Ta Dah!
Having slipcovers helps me to change the colors and look easily.

I wanted to go with softer pastels of pink, blues and greens for Spring.

I added some Spring accessories here and there.

My forsythia is blooming in the back yard.

I had to get rid of the red in my table.

So I put a tablecloth over it.

I love this little sheer tablecloth. It was a recent "antiquing" find.

Quite a difference a few things can make.

My faux fireplace.

Not much you can do to make a HD TV look shabby chic. :)

Thanks for stopping by The Sunny Side today!

Happy Pink Saturday!

It's time for Pink Saturday over at Beverly's How Sweet The Sound. Join the party for lots of fun.

I'm sharing some of my pink, thrifty finds today. I got all the salad plates and bowls for a ridiculous price. Just right for Spring/Easter decorating.

My white planter in the sunroom.

I found this little item yesterday, and I love it. Somebody just glued a pretty plate to the top of the figurine. Pretty clever.

Love my Hershey's Box

Here's my new welcome mat found recently at Dollar General.

Chenille Bunny Pillow

Here's the bathroom of my doll house.

I made the bedspread out of some spare material I had.

Here's a close up of the miniature hatbox and all it's treasures.
Found in on Etsy.

Happy Coming of Spring to All of You!!

Spring Will Always Come

Hello, Bloggy friends. Today, I'm joining Sally for "Blue Monday" at Smiling Sally.

Spring has almost come, just as it does every year. My sister gave me this picture for Christmas. I love it. But when I opened it, I cried, because it has a special meaning for both of us.

Whenever we were having "down" days or hard times, Daddy would always tell us. "Patience. Wait......Spring will come again." Daddy's way of saying "This too shall pass"............and it always did and still does.
So now I have this beautiful picture to not only to enjoy, but to remind me that my sad days will soon pass.
Here's hoping you are having a happy day, but if you are not, remember "Spring will always Come. :)
D

P.S. I killed my camera because I let it get wet. :( Hoping my new one will arrive soon.

Happy Rednesday!

It's time for "REDNESDAY" at Sue's "It's A Very Cherry World" Hooray!

So, as you know, I do love red, and I thought I'd show you some of my kitchen gadgets I love.

This old timey potato masher is so great for mixing my cornbread dressing together. I always use it for that.

This batter bowl is great for making pancakes or cakes. The spout is really handy.

I found this picnic basket for a steal recently. Doesn't it remind you of "The Wizard of Oz"?
I washed the gingham lining, and now I need to polish it up a bit.

I love my "setting" hen. Another recent thrifty find.

This cake tin isn't old, but I do like the look.

And finally, this is for you, Sue. I found this older pic of Jamie when she was a baby.
A cute, cherry outfit. :)
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY, FRIENDS

Outdoor Wednesday

Today, I'm joining "Outdoor Wednesday" at A Southern Daydreamer and "White Wednesday" at Faded Charm.

I wanted to show you my beautiful pear tree in full bloom.

I love this tree! It's so pretty in the Spring. Gives me wonderful shade in summer, and

beautiful colors in the Fall.

Seems like it bloomed like this overnight. :)

When it comes to plants, I have NO green thumb. Here's my lily plant which, so far, I haven't killed.

But look........it has a BLOOM starting on it. (and It NEVER blooms!)

I'm so excited about this! :)

Soon it will be a pretty WHITE bloom.

Thanks for stopping by. It's been a very busy passed two weeks, and I need to catch up with all the wonderful posts I've missed.
