LR Wall Before and After

Time for Met Monday at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch. :)
(SORRY ABOUT MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT POSTING THIS)
Here's my blank LR wall that desperately needed something.

First, I added this small table. It helped, but I needed something up top.

Here's my finished wall. I think it's much better.

It's really hard to figure out how to space things evenly in regards to each other isn't it?
(several "oops" holes in the wall)

I took my "placement" inspiration from Phyllis at " AROUND THE HOUSE".
I love her blog, and her house is beautiful. I sure hope she doesn't mind.
(By the way, if anybody get ideas from my blog, I consider it a great compliment :)

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY TODAY!
Visit Susan to see all the great makeovers!

70's Disco Birthday Party

Hello, Bloggy Friends! I went to a friend's 50'th birthday party tonight and "got down tonight"

That cake was delicious. First time I've ever tasted fondant. It was good.

Elvis even made an appearance.

Valentines for 2011

Hello Bloggy Friends.Time for Susan's Tablescape Thursday @ Between Naps on the Porch.

The table is set up in the sun room.

on my vintage metal table.

I'm using my new bowls (TJ Maxx) as part of the place setting.

Love the flowers inside.

I'm reusing some of my stuff from last year.

just in a different way.

This year, I made a complete bouquet out of my fabric roses from Cracker Barrel.
The "cupcakes" were from there, too. (after Valentine's sale)

It's been cloudy all day, and even supposed to snow. So I lit the candles early. :)

Thanks for stopping by. I loved having you! Now on to Susan's for more wonderful tables.

Red Fabulous Red

It's time for "Rednesday" again over at Sue's "It's A Very Cherry World" Thanks, Sue, for hosting.

I was excited to find this RED, retro looking high chair. I paid only $16! and it's in perfect condition. New, they are priced at $100.

I love that you can use it as a step stool, too. Goes great in my RED kitchen. :)

These bowls are a great find at TJ MAX. When I saw them, I had to have them.

Love the flowers inside.
(Look for these in my Thursday Tablescape)

I repainted these two birdhouses.

This was my favorite find this week, a vintage BHG Cookbook. $5!

I have a mini one in my doll house kitchen. :)

> And lastly, here's my dear, sweet Mom in her RED sweater. She's 94.
Thanks for visiting me, and for all your input about the size of the pics.
I think it was about 50/50. So, I think I'm going with the smaller size so it won't take so long to load. :)

I'm also joining Leigh's Thrifty Thursday at Tales from Bloggeritaville. Thanks, Leigh.

My Love of Cherubs

Hello, Bloggy Friends. I picked up this little cherub figure yesterday for only $1. Then I began to realize how many of these cute little fellows I have around my house.

There's my cherub lamp (also a great find). I spray painted it white.

I love this little, cherub bowl. He's blowing a kiss.

Cherubs just scream "Valentines Day" don't they?

I love this picture of the cherub teaching the bluebirds to sing.

(Sorry about the glare)

I have cherub bookends.

I even have cherubs guarding my towel rack. hehehehehe

QUESTION:

Do you prefer the smaller or larger pics?

Which is easiest for you to see?

Do you see the complete pic of the larger ones or is it cut off?

Thanks for joining me today, and thanks for the input.
