Snowman Christmas Table

Time for Tablescape Thursday at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch. Hooray!

My Snowman Tablescape

Snowman was a present from my friend, Gloria many years ago.

Snowman napkins, an "after Christmas" sale last year.

Salad plates, a Thrift Store find.

New sage colored shades for the shandy.

And here's my new "old" hutch. A wonderful price of $150 reduced from $400 at an estate sale!

Love it, and it matches my table really good, I think.

Mom's vintage Hazel Atlas goblets

Candlelight View

Here's a view of the dining room from the kitchen. I "borrowed" the red curtains from one of my bedrooms. :) The green hutch was moved into the kitchen, where it really belongs anyway.

Here's the same table before I "tweaked" it. I just didn't like the red table cloth.

Thanks for stopping by! Can't wait to see all the beautiful tables at Susan's!

I'm Dreaming of a RED Christmas

Hello, Bloggy friends. I feel like I've missed several parties already, so I'm linking up to a few tonight. Please see the links to these wonderful, fun parties below.

Living Room

My new lamp I got from Sturbridge Yankee Workshop. Kinda expensive, but I waited since last year to get it, and I DID get free shipping. :) Isn't she cute and vintage looking?

The mantle this year.

I loved and ordered this picture because it says "grandmother". Most use "grandma", so I was excited to find this.

Mom's vintage goblets dressed for Christmas.

My NEW "old" hutch. I got this for a STEAL at $150, reduced from $400 at an estate sale. It matches my table exactly.

My Christmas Plates

And, finally, the kitchen.

I moved the green hutch into the kitchen. I think it fits quite nicely in there.

Thanks for joining me. I appreciate your taking time to stop by. :)

I'm linking to Sherry's "Share the Decor" Party

and Sue's "Rednesday" at "It's a Very Cherry World"

I Have TWO Favorite Christmas Movies

I have two all time favorite movies, and I highly recommend both of them to my blog friends.

This first is "Silent Night LonelyNight with Lloyd Bridges and Shirley Jones.
He was so nice looking in this movie. :)

Shirley said this was her favorite movie she made.

This is the inn where some of the movie was filmed in Amherst, MA.
The scenery is snowy and beautiful in this movie.

My second is "The Gift of Love A Christmas Story" starring Lee Remick, who I thought was so pretty and a great actress. I never get tired of this beautiful movie.

It also has Angela Lansbury and Polly Holiday (Flo from "Alice")

It was also filmed in a beautiful New England town, but I can't remember the name.
You will love these two movies.
Thanks, Beverly, for letting us share our favorite movies this week on "Pink Saturday"
Please visit her blog for more.

Merry Christmouse!

Hello, Bloggy friends. This is a Christmas post I did last year, and since it had lots of pink, I wanted to share it at Beverly's Pink Saturday. Visit her blog for more wonderful pinks.

I have always loved "Christmas Mice". I just think they are so cute. And I have always loved "The Night Before Christmas", so I HAD to have this little book.

See how tiny the book is? (Compared to my hand?) I just love illustrations by Cyndy Szekeres. I've had this book since 1982. My kids enjoyed it, and now my two granddaughters love it.

Now, let's see what's going on over at Mrs. Mouse's house................

Looks like she is coming in from the living room to check on little Crissy mouse.

She is walking over to tuck her in. Aww! Shh! She's sleeping good!

While we're here, let's have a look around the room.

Ummm! What pretty, pink wallpaper. Somebody likes Shabby Mouse Chic. :)

Looks like Mrs. Mouse has been decorating for Christmas, too. Look at the pretty greenery over Grandpa Mouse's picture. I see she has her tree all decorated, and look, She used a thimble for the base of the tree. How clever!

I I like her green curtains, and the candle in the window. Oh, look! It's snowing!

What the.......................! Will you look at that? Santa came! How'd he do that? We didn't even see him! He's pretty sneaky, that jolly old elf. Looks like somebody is getting an angel mouse and a candy cane, too!

Sleep tight, little Crissy Mouse. You will have lots of surprises when you wake up.

Thanks for letting me share. I've had the cute, little mouse figures for several years. I hope you enjoyed looking at them. And, what can I say...................Christmas just brings out the kid in me! :)
Thanks for stopping by!!!!
