Funny Valentine Shirt

Hello, Bloggy Friends! I got this shirt last February at Cracker Barrel. I love what it says, and every time I wear it, people get a real smile out of it! I thought I'd share it with you for Pink Saturday over at Beverly's at How Sweet The Sound. There's lots of PINK over there for you to see. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

My RED High Chair

It's Rednesday over at Sue's It's a Very Cherry World, and I have something red I'd like to share. :)
This is my high chair that I just painted red. It has been many colors through the years, because you see, it's VERY OLD. This highchair was my mom's when she was little, and my mom is 94 years old.

My sister, brother and me used it when we were little, and now my granddaughters use it when they come over. Most recently, it was green. In my first house, it was a deep blue (that's when "Country" was in. :) I love it this red color because it matches my red kitchen, plus, I LOVE RED. :)
Thanks for visiting me. I love it when you drop by! :)

Blue & Yellow Tabletop

Hello, Bloggy friends. It's Monday, and I'm joining Smiling Sally for Blue Monday. See all the beautiful blues over there for this fun meme.

Also joining Barb over at Grits and Glamour for the first time for Tabletops, Vignettes and Favorite Accessories. Be sure to visit her for all the beautiful ideas.

Today, I redid my cutting board table and wall shelf in blues and yellows.

I did it to match my blue and yellow tablescape I did for Thursday's tablescape at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch. (Just ignore that dust mop over there in the corner. Oops! :)

Closeup of table top.

You can't really tell from these pics, but my wall is a soft yellow.

Oh! I just LOVE my BLUE cow pitcher I got yesterday at Cracker Barrel. They have such wonderfully, cute things!

The forsythia isn't real, but today, I noticed the real one in my backyard is beginning to bloom!
JOY!

The blue and yellow picture was a Thrift store find the other day.

My "Sunny", yellow birdhouse blended in nicely with the colors, too.

After noticing all the soup tureens you girls have, I wanted one. I found this smaller one on Ebay, but I do love it.

Girls! Don't these lemons look real? I got them the other day at Walmart. A BIG bag of them for $10. I just compared them to my real lemons, and couldn't tell them apart. I love to use lemons in decorating/tablescapes!

Thanks for joining me today. I love it when you stop by!

Ahhh! Blue and Yellow

The It's been a while for me, but today I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. The table is set for breakfast in the kitchen. Let's go have a look.

It has finally warmed up a bit, and I wanted to use bright, "unwinter" colors of yellow and blue.

I found these placemats at the "old faithful" Dollar Tree.

I used my white dinnerware from Walmart and my blue napkins.

I have had these blue and white cereal bowls for a while, and thought they matched very nicely with my tablescape. :)

My flowers are from Dollar Tree also. The Target birds wanted to get in the setting too, even though it is kinda crowded as my table is not that big.

I love my little vintage juice glasses! A find while antiquing one day.

This white pitcher is my Mom's. I don't know if it's old or not, but I liked it for this tablescape also.

This tablescape reminds me that Spring is around the corner. Thanks for stopping by. I loved having you.

"Clueless" Birthday

Hello, Bloggy Friends! I just celebrated my birthday two days after Christmas.
I told my kids what I wanted for my birthday.......I wanted to play Clue.
Clue has always been one of my favorite games, but I never get to play it because you need more than two players. They all agreed. So I finally got to play.

My favorite character has always been Miss Scarlet.

Over the years, Miss Scarlet has taken on several different faces.

Vampy. :)

Leslie Ann Warren played her in the movie.

Never liked this one.

This must be the most recent Miss Scarlet. But..........................

The "forties" Miss Scarlet has always been my favorite.

I was able to find my favorite version of the game on Ebay. Hooray!

Guess who won the game. That's right.....................ME! :)

It was done in the Dining Room

with the rope. By............................

Mrs. Peacock! (which means "I" did it because I was Mrs. Peacock. Granddaughter wanted to be Miss Scarlet) :)
................ see? Thank you for stopping by. I loved having you!
